Thanks to all of you that made the trip north to the drive-in movie run. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and the movie. Iron man three was a big hit and well worth watching again. Check website for info. Lets double the amount of VWs we had yesterday so tell a friend and bring a guest.

Thanks and congratulations to Gary and the rest of the NOS VW crew for making the 19th annual VW Spring Fling one of the best of all times. The campout started around 4 PM Sat afternoon at the Madera fairgrounds. As we pulled into the fairgrounds we could see other VWs of all kinds already parked with BBQs blazing, VW swap on the ground and a really mellow VW vibe in the air. Super Grover and I found the rest of the Deutschlanders already set up and in a great spot. As the afternoon went on more VWs and Deutschlanders showed up. We all headed over to the Pizza place up the street to check out the small gathering of VWs and caught up with all of our out of town VW friends.
"Meanwhile back at the campsite" the rest of the Deutschlanders were having a good time. Johnny broke out the guitar, BBQ was lit with sausages burning on the grill and all with the Berlin flag flying. It was one of those times you really had to see.
The next morning we woke early with the sounds of VW running and the smell of Super Grovers French press coffee brewing. After a few long stretches, a few Aspirin's and a few ant acids. We were off to set up our Deutschlanders booths. At one booth we sold Monster Energy drinks and water. Marie and Dave were selling drinks all day long and really did a great job. Kathleen, Paul SR and Dianne all helped out with Crazy hair and face painting. Our booth brought in $95.00 in drinks and face painting. At this booth we also promoted our club and our FEED THE BUG EVENT. "THANK YOU" to Joseph and Greg for bringing the ice and tables.
At the second booth we sold members VW parts. Our members had some great parts to sell and swap. Thank you so much to Johnny and his wife Nao for selling everyone's items. The swap itself was full of great items and goods from around California "Lots of Bus parts this year".
Over 300 VWs made this show. All makes and models of VWs filled the fairgrounds. Out of all the VWs on hand you could pick out our clubs cars. Thank you all that participated in the show. Congratulations to ::::: Roy 1st place "Trike" Jeff 2nd place "Trike" Ian 1st place "Vintage Toy" Jamie 1st place "Stock Bug" Zander 1st place "Hot wheel drags" and a special congratulation to Dana for taking our clubs first award for a water cooled VW. Her 2013 beetle Vert came in 1st in her class. We had also a record number of 4 Deutschlanders VWs in the parade of champions.
This show is a vary important show to promote our club and the FEED THE BUG show. Even though I was running around from booth to booth I was able to see most club members helping out and representing the club. Thank you so much, Remember club member like you make it possible for our clubs success.
Also a special thank you to Super Grover and his family for taking and publishing such great pictures.
